Abinger Cons. Charities

ABINGER CONSOLIDATED CHARITIES (“ACC”)

ACC was established in 1974 when it brought together a number of charitable entities whose money was to be used for the benefit of the less well-off parishioners of Abinger (including Abinger Common, Abinger Hammer, Forest Green, Walliswood and Oakwood Hill).  Our most significant income comes in the form of an annual grant from the Henry Smith Charity.  We give gifts in the form of Sainsbury’s vouchers at Christmas and Easter to beneficiaries across the Parish.

In addition to the Christmas and Easter gifts, we give one-off financial assistance to those whose circumstances have changed in some way such that they find themselves in short-term financial difficulty often due to the death of a partner, long-term illness or unemployment.  We are also pleased to support other charities operating locally.

The trustees are proactive in seeking out those who may be in need and always value referrals from others in the community which are, of course, treated with absolute discretion.  If you need assistance or you know someone else who could do with our help, please get in touch.
