Residents may recall the presentation by Mole Valley Council planners in February this year on the question of changes in village boundaries in the context of the coming Local Plan. The issues generated a great deal of interest and discussion. Abinger Parish Council has been told by the Council planners of some fuller proposals on this subject. These proposals affect Abinger Hammer and Abinger Common. No changes are contemplated for Forest Green, Walliswood or Okewood Hill.
We want to communicate these as widely as possible to local residents, and we also propose to hold a public meeting on Monday 17th September at 8.00pm, to be held in Abinger Hammer Village Hall.
We are still working through all this, and the background and details of these latest proposals will be distributed with the September issue of the Abinger & Coldharbour Parish News and also on the Parish Council's website at a later date. Meanwhile residents can study the suggestions from MVDC as they relate to Abinger Hammer and Abinger Common by clicking here.

The Parish Council very much wants to hear the views of residents on these proposals, whether at the meeting or by email or letter.
