The Parish Council is pleased to announce they have a new contract in place for the maintenance of the Parish Village Greens and playgrounds. The contract was awarded to a local company, Clovers Grounds Maintenance, operated by Jake Burley.

At Abinger Hammer, Jake will be cutting the grass, excluding the cricket field, maintaining the playground, and litter picking twice a week on Mondays and Fridays and three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during school holidays, starting from April 2021.

School visits to Abinger Hammer hope to resume at Abinger Hammer after 19th April 2021, in conjunction with the UK Government Roadmap out of Lockdown. The Parish Council is working with one of our partner agencies, The Field Studies Organisation, to ensure all visits to the area are well managed and promote the UK Government Countryside Code.

With increased vigilance at Abinger Hammer Village Green, the Parish Council will monitor visitors to the site and will be liaising with Mole Valley District Council in regard to any parking issues that might arise at Abinger Hammer.

We hope all residents and the Cricket Club will be able to enjoy using the Village Green once Covid restrictions are lifted. Please feel free to contact the Parish Clerk, Beccy Anderson on 07716 928430 or abingerpc@hotmail.com if there is anything you wish to discuss or report to the Parish Council
