The Parish Council has been informed that the contractor cutting the village green was unable to complete the work. Unfortunately, after repairing both the mower and baler that broke down whilst he was working, he said he was unable to finish the work. The Parish Council was extremely disappointed to hear that he had difficulty carrying out the work as residents were stopping him and questioning what he was doing and/or complaining.

The Parish Council is now trying to find another contractor which is proving quite a difficult task since contractors are very busy trying to make hay before the weather breaks.

The Parish Council would like to ask all Forest Green residents to be patient and respect any contractors working at the village green. Anyone working there will be instructed by the Parish Council and needs to be able to work as per instructions given and will not be expecting to stop and converse or answer residents’ questions. Any questions/comments need to be directed to the Parish Clerk at abingerpc@hotmail.com or by telephone 07716 928430 during the office hours of 9am – 5pm Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesday am
