Surrey County Council has begun resurfacing and/or carriageway patchwork improvements on Honeywood Lane in Okewood Hill that will prohibit vehicles entering between its junction with Monks Lane and the entrance to Monks Manor. The alternative route for vehicles will be via Okewood Hill, Walliswood Green Road and Smokejack Hill Road, or this route in reverse order.

The closure began last Friday (13th October) and is scheduled to last five days, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. Advanced warning signs are displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained and access to properties within this part of Honeywood Lane will be maintained for residents and emergency services.
