The Parish Council has put together a working group made up of 4 Parish Councillors and 5 Residents to evaluate the request and petition for a playground at Forest Green.

There was unanimous agreement that any playground proposal must ensure the special nature of the village Green is not compromised.

Various sites are being considered by the group and when suitable options are agreed will form part of a public consultation.

Funding for the playground would be raised through a grant or donations and would not come from the Parish Council.

Maintenance of any playground would form part of the Parish Council's maintenance scheme for the three other playgrounds in the Parish and not be undertaken by volunteers.

Examples of natural wood-style playgrounds suitable for children from pre-school to around 11 years are being evaluated by the working group.

Any proposals put forward by the working group will be subject to Parish Council approval following a public consultation.
