Statement from the Chair of Abinger Parish Council :

“On behalf of Abinger Parish Council, I would like to join our local communities and the whole nation in expressing our heartfelt condolences following the sad death of His Royal Highness Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh.

Prince Philip was widely respected for his active and dedicated service to the country and for his steadfast support to Her Majesty the Queen throughout her reign.”

Anyone wishing to leave a tribute in the national online book of condolence can visit the website www.royal.uk The website also gives the following advice on flowers: Members of the public may wish to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice, or one of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Patronages in memory of His Royal Highness, instead of leaving floral tributes.
