Statement from the Chair of Abinger Parish Council :

“On behalf of Abinger Parish Council, I would like to join our local communities and the whole nation in expressing our heartfelt condolences to members of the Royal Family following the sad death of Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth ll.

On 21st April 1947, on her 21st birthday, Princess Elizabeth said, ‘I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service’. As our longest-serving monarch of 70 years, she dedicated her life to the fulfillment of this promise and will be remembered for her unparalleled devotion to duty and public service. She will be sadly missed and will be remembered as a much respected and admired monarch”
