FLOODING ALERT - FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Surrey experienced severe weather in early November which resulted in flooded highways, flooded gardens and in some instances, property flooding. In order for the relevant bodies to do their job efficiently, it's important that all cases are reported to the correct authorities and we have been asked by Surrey County Council to publicise these instructions:
Emergency:
-
If a resident has an emergency where there is a threat to life or the house is likely to flood you should call 999, or the Environment Agency Hotline on 0800 80 70 60.
-
If the highway is flooded call the highway emergency number 0300 200 1003.
-
If the sewers are surcharging call the utility company on their emergency number.
General:
-
Where the highway has flooded or a blocked drain please report on this link. This will take the enquiry to the correct maintenance team.
-
Where there are general enquiries about a flooding or your own property has been flooded this can be reported to [email protected] - this is not monitored out of hours.
